As the world class leader in Audio Restoration, we are first and foremost committed to keeping the original intent of every film intact as it flows through the various stages of our extensive restoration process.
Beginning in Archival Mastering’s Film Intensive Care Unit (FICU), the elements are admitted, given a thorough exam and treated if necessary before they are transported to the Restoration Department.
Once in the Restoration Department, the audio is processed using Sonic Solutions HD with NoNoise, Digi-design’s ProTools HD with a full complement of plug-ins and other digital processing equipment. Our mixers are able to repair and reduce problematic anomalies without affecting the original content. We encourage our clients to participate in every creative aspect of the restoration process from the inspection of elements in our Film Intensive Care Center to the final EQ and mastering of the track. Our personal approach is to first discuss the parameters and budget of each project with our clients before proceeding.
Once in the digital domain, our mixers, using state-of-the-art digital work stations, have the ability to address any given anomaly in very configuration whether it ne mono or stereo to 6 track 70MM elements. Having restored literally thousands of titles we have consistently demonstrated our expertise in processing tracks without creating artifacts or compromising the entire spectrum of frequencies associated with each element. This attention to detail and intense scrutiny is standard procedure – afforded to each project in order to preserve the integrity of the track as it was originally intended. We have the very best creative resources and the most advanced digital technology available today. Armed with the knowledge of the myriad analogue and digital source elements, and access to the most advanced cutting edge technology, our mixers create a superior final product that will stand the test of time and become a valued asset.
